Here’s everything you might be wondering before starting your Spanish visa journey.
Do I need to register a company in Spain first?

No. You can apply as an individual founder. Company incorporation is only required after visa approval.

What is ENISA and why is it important?

ENISA (Spain’s National Innovation Agency) must certify that your project is innovative and scalable. This approval is mandatory.

Do I need private health insurance?

Yes. You must have a policy with full coverage in Spain. Travel insurance is not accepted.

Can I bring my family with me?

Yes. Spouse and children can be included as dependents. You’ll need to prove additional financial means.

How much money do I need to show?

At least 100% of the annual IPREM (approx. €14,400), plus 50% per dependent. This is to show you can support yourself in Spain.

How long does the Startup Visa last?

The initial permit is valid for 3 years, and it’s renewable. After 5 years, you may apply for permanent residency.

Do I have to pay taxes in Spain with this visa?

You may become a Spanish tax resident. We recommend tax planning before applying — we can help.
